About Church Street: Church Street Ward

Around the market there are three distinct residential areas: to the north there are pre-war and 1950s tenement buildings; south of the market there is an integration of private terraced housing and social housing; and to the east is the 1970s Lisson Green Estate. The area has a high-density residential community of more than 5,000 households and is ethnically diverse, with over 30 languages spoken and is home to the largest Bengali community in Westminster.
